Meet Cole.

He is the newest addition to one of our favorite families, the Andersons.

I swear, Rachel and Andrew make the prettiest babies around. He was so calm and so cooperative!

Cole has three older siblings (who you have seen around here, no doubt) who are so sweet and love on him so gently, it’s just about the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen!

Welcome to the world, baby Cole!

Meet Addie.

Addie’s parents are Jen and Michael and they are a very special couple to me. Their wedding was the very first LBW wedding EVER! I remember when I first met them I was so happy that my first wedding was going to be with such a happy, funny and kind couple. Jen and Michael oozed love and charm and I adored them from our first meeting. They made my first wedding decidedly less scary and we kept in touch, as Jen is also a spectacular massage therapist and I loooove a good massage!

When I found out Jen was pregnant I was so excited and happy for them. And I am so honored I got to take Miss Adelaide’s newborn portraits. She is a beautiful little girl with amazing parents. Addie is a very lucky little girl and Jen and Michael are very lucky parents.

Congratulations, Jen and Michael!

And welcome to the world, Addie. Anything is possible here.

Remember JoAnn and Justin?

I am sorely belated on posting about their intimate wedding on 1-1-11. It’s been busy around here! They had a lovely and very sweet wedding on a hilltop overlooking a beautiful lake.

The best man and the adorable ring bearer!

JoAnn looked absolutely stunning!

The sand ceremony.

Their reception was at a Chinese restaurant nearby and included a tradition ten (was it ten? It was a LOT) course dinner. The food was mind-blowing.

I had no idea what half of it was, but every last bite was delicious. This is part of what I love about my job! Although, I think my favorite part of the reception was when Justin delivered their thank you speech… in three different languages!

Thank you JoAnn and Justin for inviting me to be a part of your special day. You guys are simply the perfect couple and the amount of love and respect you have for one another is beautiful.

Meet Nat and Ayumi.

Nat’s sister, Adriane, contacted me a few months before Nat’s wedding and basically said, “We don’t know when or where they are getting married, but we want you to shoot it!” I was so excited because I shot Adriane’s wedding a few years prior. I adore her family, they are so much fun and so kind that I loved any excuse to work with them again!

Nat and Ayumi met in Paris and, from what I understand, Nat simply couldn’t stop thinking about her from the second he met her. They had a whirlwind courtship spanning oceans (Nat in the US and Ayumi in Japan) and pretty soon Ayumi and her family were on a plane to San Diego for their intimate seaside ceremony.

You could feel the love radiating from these two and seeing their two families blend and bridge and culture gaps all in the name of love was heart-warming. I had so much fun with these families and I hope I get to see them all again soon! With babies!

Nat is in the Army and Ayumi is (safely) in Japan. I wish these two happiness and safety in all they do. Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day.

Meet Alena and Erik. They got married in November in Hollywood, CA. Yes, this makes me a terrible blogger. But this isn’t about me!

When I met them at our initial meeting they wanted to do their formal portraits at the Griffith Observatory. I am a HUGE fan of the observatory and I was so excited to get the chance to do some wedding pictures there!

I’m so happy we braved the crowds and powered through the freezing weather because their photos came out beautifully!

Congratulations, Alena and Erik!

Maybe you remember Liz and Erwin.

Their e-session was one of my last posts before I pretty much fell off the face of the planet for 8 months. They got married in early September and I was honored to be their photographer.

They got married at Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo, CA.

The ceremony was beautiful and incorporated so much tradition.

Liz looked STUNNING. Seriously, no other word for it.

I have never seen a couple surrounded by so much love and support from their families and it was just overwhelming.

And? One of the most beautiful cakes I’ve ever seen! The cake topper is hand-molded chocolate trees with their initials carved into them. SO. CUTE.

Congratulations, Liz and Erwin!

Connie and Patrick met at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department academy.
On May 16th they got married at a beautiful little restaurant nestled in the hills of Agua Dulce, CA.

The ceremony was lovely and intimate.

They arranged a Day After session at Point Dume in Malibu and I am SO happy they did! We got some beautiful shots!

Congratulations, Connie and Patrick!

Meet Michelle and Niko.

They should win some sort of prize for the most patient and adventurous couple EVER.

Last weekend a crazy storm hit southern and central California. In fact, Hanford was featured on CNN on account of all the rain. And what lay smack in the middle of all this crazy weather?

Their engagement session appointment, of course! Michelle asked me (pretty calmly, I might add) if I had a back-up plan in case it was raining. My back-up plan?

Umbrellas and rain boots, of course!

They were so kind and up for anything and I am extremely grateful for their willingness to go with whatever I threw their way. Like my suggestion that Michelle not wear her coat for a few…

And my suggestion that we hike through five inches of mud to this old barn that I am totally in love with…

I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in Fresno, CA in March. Hopefully it won’t rain!

Meet Grace.

Grace is another one of those babies who KNEW I was coming and, thus, refused to sleep. No matter WHAT we tried, she was determined to stay awake.

Yeah, she’s totally faking it here. Not three minutes later her eyes were wide open and she was giving me that look that somehow every newborn has perfected by the time I show up that says, “What is that thing you are pointing at me and why do you keep trying to make me fall asleep?”
Grace is Tash’s new (and unexpected!) sister. She is named after her great-grandmother who passed away a few weeks before her parents found out she was on her way. To hear mom Noemi, tell it… this was all Grandma’s fault. Noemi is my cousin and Grace was my grandmother, too. We miss her terribly, but we thank her daily for the gift of baby Grace.
