I met Whitton three summers ago when I took a trip to Israel. I remember the first moment I saw her she was quoting MacBeth in the airport.

We were two of only a handful of SoCal-ers and we were both theatre geeks, so we chatted over that.

We exchanged numbers at the end of the trip and, holy crap, am I ever glad we did because how stunning is she?!

Whitton is an actress in L.A. and booked a McDonald’s commercial this week! Look for her gorgeous face on a TV near you!

Thanks to Whitton for coming out to play with me!

Meet Chloe.

Chloe (5 of 45)

Chloe showed up on my doorstep yesterday ready to rock in a pair of her mom’s heels. Ariela (Chloe’s mom) had brought basically half of Chloe’s closet with her and we had tons of super cute outfits to choose from.

Chloe (15 of 45)

I’ll be honest: boys are tons of fun, but HOLY CRAP girls are more fun to dress! Virtually everything was bright and covered in glitter. Ariela kept joking that when they left my couch would be covered in a layer of glitter (a step up from the layer of cat hair that covers it currently, I assure you).

Chloe (29 of 45)

Chloe is totally supermodel material. She is just gorgeous and so photogenic. Have I ever told you about how much I love redheads?

Chloe (41 of 45)

LOVE. REDHEADS. I have always told anyone who will listen that I am determined to make my children redheads by sheer force of will. On top of that, Chloe’s hair is naturally curly (My hair has been painfully straight my whole life. Tried to perm it when I was a kid and it fell out in about three hours. Yeah. That straight). Is it fair to be jealous of an 8 year old’s hair?

Chloe (9 of 45)

I had a great time working with Chloe. She was so patient with me and up for anything. When I prodded her to change her outfit “just one more time!” for the third time, she happily said sure and bounced off. I wish all my clients were so agreeable!

Happy birthday (on Monday), Chloe!

Tash Turns One

Tash (12 of 25)

You probably recognize Tash from a few other entries. She is my cousin’s daughter (and my first cousin, once removed). She turned one on September 25th. I was very sad I couldn’t make it to her birthday party (I was shooting Leticia and Michael’s wedding that day), but I insisted we set up a shoot because I had an idea…

Tash (1 of 56)

I hired Jessica Ellis to bake a cake for me. The plan: to let Tash eat the cake. However she wanted.

Tash (5 of 56)

It was hilarious to watch. She was very delicate at first… using just her fingertips and watching us very closely to see if we would stop her.

Tash (23 of 56)

We applauded and cheered every time she took a bite. And either she got brave or the sugar kicked in, because pretty soon the icing was everywhere and she was shoveling wee fistfuls of it into her mouth.

Tash (26 of 56)

This was an absolutely priceless session. We had so much fun and afterwards while we chatted, Tash buzzed in circles around the room high on processed sugar.

I imagine the crash was not pleasant. :)
